Lexa & Annette went blue today, from hair to toes. From what I understand, it was a painful process (they used tempera paints as opposed to a body dye). The paint dried, cracked, and peeled – which had the unwelcome side-effect of removing hair. It was itchy and uncomfortable. It left blue marks on almost everything they touched.

But, according to them, it was so worth it. “Two birds with one stone.” Huh? “On our list of things to do this summer: go blue and get kicked out of a public place.” Evidently, you can’t paint your full face and go into a mall…hiding your face is included in the number one item on the official mall policy.

Not to mention the comments, looks, and a real-life for real double-take that almost gave one man whiplash.

“Either they are short avatars or tall smurfs.”

“Mommy, can I do that when we get home?”

Next time I imagine they’ll opt for the dye…and hopefully do it on a day where it’s not a 99-degree code-red ozone day.
