Lexa & Annette went blue today, from hair to toes. From what I understand, it was a painful process (they used tempera paints as opposed to a body dye). The paint dried, cracked, and peeled – which had the unwelcome side-effect of removing hair. It was itchy and uncomfortable. It left blue marks on almost everything they touched.

Hanover Country minted over 1400 graduates yesterday in four ceremonies. It was a LONG day, starting at 8:30am and wrapping up around 8:30pm, but so worth it. Today was the annual Texas Festival at Kenston Forest School in Blackstone. It’s been years since I’ve been able to make it down for this all-you-can-eat extravaganza. We’re talking tons of barbecue, ribs, chili, tacos and a non-stop open bar. Throw in live music and a bull ride and you’ve got one monster party!
